South Africa batsman Hashim Amla was forced off in the opening game of the 2019 World Cup after being struck in the head by a 90mph ball.
Jofra Archer's ball inside the first five overs of South Africa's run chase sat up and hit the experienced Amla in the head.
It looked as though Amla was okay to continue but it seems concussion tests have shown something up and he has had to retire hurt.
New laws allow teams to replace a player who has a concussion or a suspected concussion while tests are carried out.
A player who has been struck on the head will undergo a five-minute on-field assessment and, if there are concerns, they will leave the pitch.
